Requested to overhaul # 2and #3 steering
gear pump.
PUMP DISMANTLE FROM
SYSTEM
Isolated the hydraulic lines for steering
gear pump, removed piping’s and
foundation bolt then the pump
dismantled from the steering gear
system. After dismantled the pump
from system all the piping’s were
protected and covered properly.

protected safely.
LIFTING and TRANSPORTATION
Pump lifted via skylight and transported
safely to our workshop for overhauling
COMPLETE DISMANTLE
AND CLEANED:
Both pumps dismantle and cleaned for
vessel engineer inspection.

REINSTALL ONBOARD:
Reinstall both pumps to its original
position.
Renewed seals in servo block and
controller and reinstalled to its position.
Carry out adjustments of Zero and Span
for pump stroke.
FULL FUNCTION TEST :
Commission and carried out full
function test satisfactory to vessel C/E
and Superintendent.
